My Practice
My practice is grounded in a perpetual inquiry into the impacts of presence and touch in service of nurturing an embodied sense of ease. Our bodies hold so much of our history, and rarely receive enough in the way of gentle witness, rest, and touch. I hope to meet you where you are, in a spirit of collaboration and consent, as we build a living container to support you in feeling more resourced and connected to the rhythms and well-being inherent to your own aliveness.
I’m most drawn to treatment through various forms of touch-work, weaving together elements of Shiatsu massage, Craniosacral, Acupuncture and its adjunct techniques, co-creating offerings that feel resonant to you.
I also enjoy working with herbs, mostly in the form of teas, tinctures, and homemade salves and liniments.
About Me
I’ve spent most of my life running around in the creeks and woods of the Midwest and the mountains and canyons of the Sonoran desert. As a profoundly high energy and physically active child, movement and touch were my most accessible forms of expression and learning.
In recent years I’ve felt a humbling homecoming to this queer, trans body-mind that I didn’t realize I’d grown so far away from. For me, orienting to the complex and ever-evolving ecosystems of the body is an invitation to discover what it means to be human. This re/membering finds expression in my work, and my life, as a devotion to slowing down, listening deeper, and learning to trust in the quiet intelligence of the body.
I am forever a student. An amateur maker and mender of things. A lover of dogs and myriad manners of movement, rhythm, and play. A delighter in misty mornings and dappled sunshine. You can trust at any given time that I am reverently nerding out at some confluence of body, dreams, love, ecology, cosmology, alchemy etc. In my next life, I’d love to be a blue whale.
As a white person living on stolen indigenous land, and practicing a medicine outside the scope of my cultural lineage, I am forever in conversation with what it means to be in reciprocity and repair. At present, this shows up in my practice as a creative exploration of accessibility. I am always working to meet folks where they’re at with curiosity and integrity.
